Out & About
Things to do on Lake Rotoiti
The lake, the river and the forest are all on your doorstep — here's how our guests fill their days.
Lake Rotoiti sits at the heart of one of New Zealand’s most action-packed regions. Some days you’ll want to do everything — white-water rafting before lunch, water skiing after. Other days, the jetty and a fishing line are all the plans you need.
Kayaks are available for guests, and the boat ramp, jetty and marina are right here in the park.
On The Water
Make the most of the lake

Boating & water skiing
Launch from our private boat ramp, tie up at the marina and make the whole lake yours — water skiing, biscuiting or a slow evening cruise.

Fishing
Rotoiti is famous for its trout. Cast a line off the jetty, troll the deeper water, or bring the catch straight back to the dock for dinner.
Swimming
The water in front of the park is calm, clean and made for a daily swim — ease in off the beach or jump straight off the jetty.
Kayaking & paddleboarding
Take one of our kayaks out and explore the shoreline at your own pace — quiet bays, native bush, and glassy water first thing in the morning.

Manupirua Hot Springs
The famous lakeside hot pools you can only reach by boat. Cruise across, soak while the sun drops, and idle home in the dark.

The jetty & marina
Berth the boat for $15 a night, or just claim a spot on the jetty with a book and watch the lake go by. Some of the best evenings happen right here.
